We're wrapping love week around here and it's been a good one folks. Lots of looks at Love, ALL around us!
Living behind PaPaw and GoGo is nothing but love for my littles. As much as we want to be in our new home and we're chomping at the bit to finish these renovations I'm trying to see all of the good mixed in with this crazy chapter of life. Bitter-sweetly this is likely the last REAL time I'll ever get to "live" with my parents again. It was unexpected, it wasn't planned, but it's here. Last year's diagnosis, if nothing else, taught me how quickly life as we know it can change and how our time here is limited. So seeing my littles walk to the path to play (likely too often) with their grandparents brings my heart joy. How lucky we are to have family that loves us, and wants to be with us. The days of living in the little house behind my parents are numbered and I know when the kiddos are older we'll all look back on this time and remember it fondly.
Pre-school love and Valentine parties. I was a room mom in Bennett's preschool class Monday and helped the littles craft and celebrate all the love they have for their little friends. So sweet to meet his new pals and get a glimpse of what he's doing while he's away from home. Teachers hold such a special place in my heart. For one, their patience ... I simply admire it. And two, to think they wake up every morning to show my little love and compassion so I am able to have a break is nothing but LOVE!
Newbie love!! Meet the newest addition to our family, my sweet niece, Brighton Marie, from my sister from another mother, MaKenzie!! This sweet nugget! The FIFTH sister in their little clan - happy and healthy and ya'll - MY NAMESAKE!!!! Katie Marie, Brighton Marie ... talk about love. Whew. So amazing, and precious. I can't wait to see her spunky little personality as she grows.
Valentine's Day! Of course, the Hallmark holiday to really shower the ones we love with LOVE! Our dining room table resembled Christmas morning somehow by complete accident this year! I bought the kiddos a few items earlier last month and planned to give them the plates and some candies ... but then I went to Target the day all of their adorable spring stuff arrived and splurged a little. So rather than putting it straight in their closet I added it to their VDAY spread and it warranted some amazing reactions! Score!
My gals. We celebrated our annual Galentine's Day - full of fast food, cheese and wine. Along with hilarious games and one with quite the specktical for an ending that we will all remember for a long time. #RealTearsFromLaughter
