Lainey Turns Two!

Our Lainey gal officially turned two and we celebrated her in every way possible! Per tradition, I wrote her a letter and shared it on her official day. Lainey's birthday falls the day right after Halloween, we really we celebarate the entire week, and we wake up in a sugar coma the day of her birthday but push right on through!
She awoke to balloons, the birthday song, a big surprise and her traditional flowers from her daddy.

Since the kiddos stayed up late on Halloween, and it was afterall Lainey's birthday - we decided to let both of them play hooky from school and madea fun day of it! We woke up to birthday donuts and then headed to a super fun play gym to shake our sillies out!

We ended the day by letting Lainey open one last present before her big birthday party that weekend.

On Thursday, we brought special birthday treats and celebrated with her friends at school! And then before we knew it, it was time for Lainey's big birthday! Her very own party, Lainey's Cider Mill.

We had all kinds of apple themed food and desserts.

Fun treat bags (thanks to GoGo!)

Aunt Debbie made the drive!!

And had a BLAST!

Until it was time for birthday cake ... and then the birthday girl had a melt down. Ha!

But it was all better once she got to eat it :)

Brother was pretty happy too.
And then we opened some prezzies.

And when the night was finally finished, we tucked our big two year old into bed and prayed over here for another year of growth, health, happiness and wholeness. Thank you to all of our family and friends that helped to make it such a special day for our Lainey gal!

Trolls - Halloween - 2017

Well, seeing as how this week is Thanksgiving ... I should probably share our Halloween recap before next year rolls around. You know what they say ... "good things come to those who wait!" ... or I'm just terribly behind this year and can't seem to get it together. Either way .... It was the loudest, most amazing Halloween EVER! Okay, maybe not really, but if you've seen the movie Trolls, you'll catch the reference. Halloween is always a fan favorite around here and this year was no different. To take a look back on Halloween's passed check out previous posts:

And this year it was colorful and loud and FUN (even though Lainey currently hates pictures)!

We brought the wagon (in case the kiddos got tired and needed a break from walking) and Lainey straight set up shop and acted like a true Princess Poppy. She demanded she be wheeled to every house and someone constantly serve her candy the entire time. It was HILARIOUS! We trick or treated for the first time in our new neighborhood with all of our pals and family and it was the (cold) but best time!

We had a big crew join for soups, hot cider and all the candy afterwards! A good night for all! Happy Halloween!
