I have a love hate with the month of February. I feel like it’s a prize month for making it ALL the way through the never ending month of January. Christmas is over, New Years comes and goes and then all of a sudden you’re asleep in the rabbit hole that is January and can’t get out. Finally you wake up and it’s Valentine’s Day ... and your mental capacity of winter is spent ... but the groundhog saw his shadow and you have the unfortunate realization that spring actually isn’t as close as you originally thought.
So much rambling. Sorry about that. I’m coming live today from the hospital waiting rooms I’d Vanderbilt University for my 3 month follow up business ... so I’ve got a lot of time and a lot of thoughts on my hands. Bottom line however, we’re still in February and it’s probably about time I recollect all of the happenings around these parts.
For starters, we registered our little mister for his real school - and I cried a lot of tears - both happy and sad.
I mean, he’s still putting pants on his head. He can’t be old enough for real school! He’s the best little goofball around.
Photography has been keeping me super busy .. and I got my first couple of features this month (eek!!!) Along with studio progress and a real life completion date - whew - big girl stuff is coming at me in all sorts of ways!
Hubs and I snuck away for a much needed little vacay with 14 of our buddies. We had some awesome adult time in the lovely Punta Cana, Dominican Republic!
We came home to our littles and our Bennett buddy was feeling a bit under the weather. But no worries, he solved all of the worlds problems. I was editing some photos in my office and came out to check on the littles to find him sitting in his bean bag chair with a bandaid over his nose. I asked him, “Buddy what’s with the bandaid?!” To which he quickly responded “well my nose wouldn’t stop running and bandaids stop boo boos from bleeding so I thought it would stop my nose too!”
Like duh ... why haven’t I ever thought of that before?! Bahaha! :)
The sickness kept us inside for a few days and cabin fever can create some very interesting creative streaks.
But we’ve been doing our best to get out and take advantage of all the indoor activities we can! Movies (check) theater/plays (check) yummy restaurants (check) ... here’s to hoping spring comes sooner rather than later!!
Declaring goodness and praying for positive results by days end! Have a great week gang!!

I hope you got great results today!
