October

Three cheers for Fall! We have been going non stop and have had obligations out the wazoo, so this past weekend it was fabulous to have some time to hang with no agenda and enjoy the cooler temps.  We had such a great weekend and Sunday we wrapped it with a visit about 30 minutes south of Nashville to Lucky Ladd Farms. It was the best way ever to kick off October and round out the weekend.

It's a great little farm tucked away in the Tennessee countryside. It's open all year long, but during Autumn they have pumpkins and fall festival fun.
Bennett rode his first real horsey (I think he actually picked a donkey, but we'll keep that our little secret) and was so proud of himself!
And Lainey was proud of him too!

Then he found the mighty blue tractor and "rode" it around nearly 400 times.

My arms are full and that means my heart is full!
This place was a kids dream. Slides, rides, playgrounds, water, activities, tractor rides, you name it, they had it. And Bennett LOVED it.
Cheers for Daddys that opt to go sliding with the littles!

And a giant jump pad! Oh em gee.
Bennett LOVED the spider web. And he was all things from an angry spider, to a chatty spider, to a happy spider. And he would tell us and every kid that got in his wake which spider he was. This kid and his imagination. We had a hard time getting him off.
 Angry...
Happy...
Back to angry ...
And little sister was more than okay because it meant she didn't have to share her sugar cookies!
And Bennett showed off his lasso skills ... but only on the blue bull ... because blue's his favorite color, obviously.
And then came the mother of all tractor rides. How stinkin' adorable is this tractor train!?!
Again, Bennett chose blue. And again, daddy opted to be the designated rider.

I mean that sly smile. Melt me.
Next, we headed to the petting zoo.

And these two fed the little animals until their hearts were content!

 Twins I say!

We started to work our way towards the entrance and took a few more play stops along the way.

And then we wrapped with the most fantabulous (that's a made up word for how awesome it was) swing in all the land. And every single one of us took a turn swinging little miss Lainey.
 So.
Much.
Fun!
We had a blast, and are so excited for fall! If our kick-off was any indication of how great it's going to be I'm giddy with excitement! Hip Hip Hoorayy!
